Currently we have extended hours of 10-2pm on weekdays and 11-3 on the weekend.

Finding the Greenhouse and Parking

Use the map above to help guide you to the Greenhouse on campus. Parking lots are shown, as well as 3 different campus entrances. The Hamilton Street Railway (HSR) and GO Transit both provide busing service to campus. Please see their respective websites for schedules.

Selecting the Best Parking Lot to visit the Greenhouse

Below is a chart with the closest parking lots to the Greenhouse, as well as rates. Before 7 pm during a weekday, the cheapest parking is in Lot M. A shuttle bus goes from the Lot M parking lot to campus near the Greenhouse. It runs Monday to Friday from 6:30 am to 7 pm. The closest parking lot to the Greenhouse is Lot Q. Depending on which parking lot you choose to park in, use the specific  campus entrance listed below.

Cootes Drive campus entrance: Park in Parking Lot I, Q, or M.

Main Street West or Cootes Drive campus entrance: Park in Parking Lot I.

Sterling Street campus entrance: Park in Lot B, or E.



Visiting Hours

No regular tour hours currently available.

Admission is by free will donation. The donation box is situated at the entrance to the tropical house.

Safety Disclaimer

This is a working greenhouse. To have a safe visit, please follow these guidelines:

  • Wear close-toed shoes

  • Watch your footing

  • No pushing, shoving or running

  • Do not eat any plants

  • Only touch plants that you are informed are safe to touch

  • In hot weather, bring a cold drink and leave the greenhouse if you feel too hot or light-headed.
